So I actually read a Cambridge Latin Course “version” of this story two years ago and I didn’t even know it 💀 (it was the exact same except the names were changed and some Latin words were subbed in)

Puberty fucks you up... I had teacher crushes and I also have mental problems... I feel like my feelings were obvious even though I tried to keep them hidden. As an adult, I can see how messed up the whole ordeal is and how it can impact the teachers in question. It was so long ago that I can't remember the details, lol. So there's a program called "Drag Race Simulator', & it lets you add your own custom queens. idk if anyone else gets this but you know when you open up a fic on ao3 and start reading and have to stop because it was very obviously written by a teenager, so all the characters speak, think, and behave like they're in high school? i don't know why but everything andy writes about himself and his life aggressively radiates that exact vibe to me

the last time i saw significant discourse related to any of these shows was when a supernatural fan lost their shit that their pairing lost a tumblr shipping tournament to a pair of gundam space lesbians, and tried to cope by arguing that it didn't matter because supernatural was the more culturally significant show, seemingly not realising that gundam is fucking gundam! in fact, i think the whole fandom didn't realise it was gundam, because they seemingly thought it was gonna be an easy argument against a small fanbase (because the ship was from the recent witch from mercury anime) only for half a century worth of fandom to rise up and clown on them. but the reason this keeps popping into my head is that the fan tried to claim that the witch from mercury only won because dean and cass are guys, and all the voters were sexist, which is so insanely ironic from a supernatural fan

I was very into it. This and Hannibal x Sherlock. Still am lowkey. I love these shows for nostalgia and just in general. It has its flaws. Many many flaws however i still love them. I have stopped engaging with supernatural and sherlock Holmes (besides in fanart stuff), i still am a huge doctor who fan.

As someone who was on tumblr in those days and found out about the asexuality spectrum (especially the demisexual/demiromantic labels), im eternally grateful because there's just nothing about it anywhere else. It's almost always LGBT, sometimes LGBTQIA+ with the A for ally half the time if it's explained at all. It's disheartening to hear those labels lumped in with less widely accepted concepts as "snowflake Tumblr inventions". 1) they're not, 2) even if they were, that doesn't make them less valid as identities for people who do identity that way. LGBT literally does not include asexuality, and a lot of queer spaces are not welcoming to people on the asexuality spectrum.

Foundations and the whole aesthetic of this tour are so much more relavent right now. I honestly kind of think we'll get MCR 5 in October or November. Something for us to take in as it all falls down

i joined tumblr for the first time in 2024 (after being tumblr-adjacent my whole life) and i absolutely love it. i love how it feels so free of algorithms and scams and AI. i love that tumblr gives users the option to turn off AI scraping. i only post my art on tumblr now because it won’t steal my work. so yeah, it’s not as popular as it was ten years ago, but i love how under the radar and cosy it has become

My Immortal obviously does not even qualfy as a fanfiction, however, the issue for me is that it attempts too hard to be comical, yet ironically does not achieve that wholly. It feels like a child's idea as to what is amusing, with poor grammar, curse words utilized for chucklesomeness, and nonsensical plot twists. And while i am someone who can have a hysterical laughing fit over nonsensical things, this does not invoke that feeling in me. I think that if it was a tad bit more mature and subtle, while not entirely loosing its ludicrousness and genuinely hilarious moments (since it does have some) it would be 👌🏻. I do like Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way as a character, though.
